Tucked away from Dubrovnik’s usual tourist crowds, it offers an exclusive and relaxing vibe—perfect for a day or two of luxurious beachside relaxation. On the other hand, Banje Beach, located right in the heart of Dubrovnik, feels much more like a typical public beach, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you're after a more peaceful experience.
For a bit of adventure, take a walk along the walls of Dubrovnik to enjoy breathtaking views of the city and the Adriatic Sea. Another popular option is to join a Game of Thrones tour, which takes you to many iconic filming locations. Even if you’re not a fan of the show, the tour is a great way to see Dubrovnik’s unique historical landmarks, while GOT enthusiasts will be thrilled to walk in the footsteps of their favorite characters. A highlight of the tour is visiting the real-life steps of Baelor, where Cersei's infamous walk of shame took place.
After a day of sightseeing, there’s no better way to end your evening than with a meal at Marco Polo, a hidden gem in a charming courtyard within the walled city. Their signature dish, the Lava Stone Beefsteak, is cooked right at your table, making for both a delicious and memorable dining experience.

Getting Between Split and Dubrovnik: Scenic Routes and Coastal Views
Traveling between Split and Dubrovnik offers some stunning coastal scenery, whether you’re driving or taking a ferry. If you’re opting for a road trip, the drive will take about 3 to 3 ½ hours by car, providing a picturesque route along the coast with plenty of opportunities to stop and soak in the views.
If you prefer not to drive, buses are an affordable option, but the journey can be longer—expect anywhere from 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic and stops. For those who love the sea, the ferry is another great choice, offering a more relaxed pace. The trip by ferry takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, but it’s a great way to see the stunning Croatian coastline from a different perspective.
